Fragmento de água
que lutas contra o desfiladeiro
atalhando entre penhas e quedas
vã evasão à dispersão dos átomos.
Uma manhã enamorei-me do orvalho
sedentário das margens, mas o sonho
de uma abelha em volta de uma romã
desfez o idílio, rasgou-me a paixão.
Quis arrepiar corrente, combater a inexorabilidade
do tempo que escorre…mas no dia seguinte
já ancorava noutra baía, beijando um chão diferente.
Corro, apesar de mim
Serpenteando o mundo e a vida.
Fui nascente pura, chuva dissolvente
E até simples lodo no cais.
Hoje sou como um rio
que quer alcançar o mar,
a minha terra prometida, o meu lar.
Quando lá chegar, sei que estarás à minha espera
para podermos voltar a ser nuvem.

Cloud again
Fragment of water
fighting the canyon
cutting trough shortcuts of rocks and falls
vain evasion to avoid the dispersion of the atoms.
One morning I fell in love with the sedentary dew
of the riverside, but the dream
of a bee around a pomegrenate
broke paradise, tearing me apart.
I wanted to go back in the inexorable
time which flows… but the next day
I was in another shore, kissing a different ground.
I’m running against my will
sliding trough the world and trough life.
Once I was pure spring, dissolvent rain,
simple mud in the waterfront.
Now I’m a river
longing for the sea,
my promised homeland.
When I arrive, I know you’ll be waiting for me
so that we can be a cloud again.
